Nina Harjula will assume the role of CEO and partner with Kimmo Rauma as the new Chairman of the Board. Harjula joins Afstor from Danfoss Editron, where she has a proven track record in driving growth and innovation in the clean energy sector. She worked 8 years in the leadership team alongside Mr Rauma.
This leadership transition marks a pivotal moment for the company as it moves to address significant environmental and societal challenges in targeted markets. Founder and current CEO Ari Piispanen will stay in a strategic role and board member continuing to support the new strategy. The changes will become effective on January 1st 2025.

With proven technology, Afstor is poised to introduce its innovative solar-powered cooking solution to the semi-urban customer segment in Sub-Saharan Africa.
